Our Program

The Rec Project Inc. believes in the importance of assisting our youth to excel in academics. Assisting students in their supplemental education helps students to excel not just in the classroom but in society. Helping a student to reach their academic potential not only builds confidence but has been known to produce higher test scores. This goal is accomplished through our Supplemental Education program which offers tutoring and downtime for homework approximately 45 minutes each day. While it is the responsibility of the schools to provide our youth with an education, we believe that our program is an added benefit in that students can get help with homework or tutored in specific areas of school that they may not otherwise have access to. 

By providing extra assistance for students outside of the classroom, our students are able to reap several benefits. Those benefits are as follows:

Confidence: 

Students gain confidence and self-worth by succeeding in specific areas of life with academics being one of them. This success comes from repetition, hard work, and dedicated teachers. Our program focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student and allows them to not only grow in their learning but in their confidence. We believe that if a person goes into a situation believing that they will fail then they will fail. However, those individuals with confidence in what they are doing will succeed every time.

High Test Scores:

This goes without saying. The more practice and repetition in learning something in particular will most likely result in better testing scores for students. Research has shown that when students make an extra effort outside of the classroom environment, they have an extremely high chance of increasing their test scores. This does require a desire of students to not only want to excel in their studies but dedication in attending these after school programs. A lack of attendance will be met with a lack of success.
