Communication:
We understand that parents deserve peace of mind once their children are left in the care of our camp staff. Therefore, one of the most important aspects of our program is our commitment to maintaining open communication between parents and staff. We want our program to be as accessible and transparent as possible. We welcome feedback so we can continually improve our program and offer you and your child the best experience possible. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity to make a difference.
Emergency & First Aid :
Upon registration parents/guardians will be required to fill out an “Emergency Information” and “Medical Release for Treatment” as well as inform staff of any updated information as needed. If the guardians would like program staff to administer medication as needed an “Authorization to Administer Medication” form will also be required. All documents will be kept on site for staff to refer to in the event medical attention is required. If medical attention is needed, staff will contact parents and 911. All program staff will be First Aid and CPR certified..
COVID-19 Precautions:
This facility will follow current CDC guidelines pertaining to COVID-19. Staff and students on campus will be required to have a daily temperature check, adhere to social distancing guidelines, and masks are optional. Any person with symptoms will be sent home and will not be eligible to return until symptoms have subsided. If a person tests positive for COVID-19, The Rec Center will require a negative test result before returning to the studio. Staff will wipe down equipment and highly trafficked areas regularly.
Earthquake, Fire & Emergency Evacuation :
Program staff will follow the evacuation guidelines as outlined by OHS.
Student Pick Up :
Due to the drop-in nature of the program, students are not “required” to attend. Daily sign in and sign out is required. A “Child Pick Up/Release” form is required for any person other than the immediate parents/guardians to pick a student up.
Student Conduct:
Program participants are expected to adhere to the rules enforced throughout the day. This includes any rules regarding activity appropriate attire, language, and respect for authority.
Staffing :
The Site Supervisors, Christy Chapman and Victoria Phillips, will interact daily with parents and student participants. Their primary role is to plan the activities and maintain a cooperative program atmosphere. At times, this may include addressing behavioral issues and resolving concerns. The Site Supervisor will be happy to meet with parents to discuss issues or accept suggestions. The Coach’s primary responsibility is to present and lead fun recreational and competitive activities, aligning with local school’s standards. Staff to student ratio is maintained at a ratio between 1:10 and 1: 15 depending on the activities as well as student needs.
